    10 Aam-azing Mango Salad Bowl Recipes To Try This Summer!

    Aam ka season aa gaya! Bazaars are opening up their arms to welcome the king of fruits. And you have been waiting for it to hit the floor so you can grab the delicious treat for yourself. Oh! the delight of thanda aamras on a summer afternoon. Baat hi kuch aur hai. But wait, there are so many dishes you can make besides the classic aamras right? Why not try something new this season?

    When you think of salad, what comes to your mind? A bowl filled with green and red vegetables, right? So boring. If only there was a way to make the same wahi purana salad interesting. 

    Here are 10 aam-azing mango salad recipes you can try this summer. They’re quick to make and so yummy to eat. 

    1. Shrimp Mango Salad 

    This Thai-inspired salad is a unique recipe that you might not have tried before. It’s filled with flavours and has that crunch that everyone loves. 

    Time Taken: 40 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients: 

    • 2 tsp oil
    • 1 large & peeled shrimp
    • Chopped garlic, ginger and onions
    • 1 tsp fish oil
    • 1 tsp rice vinegar
    • Red pepper flakes
    • ½ cup sliced carrots, cashews & green onions
    • 1 ripe mango cubed
    • ½ lime and soy sauce
    • White sugar
    • Red wine (optional)

    How To Do It: Cook your shrimps at medium-high heat with oil, ginger and garlic until pink. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 2 mins. Add mango in the add and sprinkle some soy sauce and sugar as per your choice.

    2. Broccoli Mango Salad 

    Hari Gobi? Your face must be twisting left and right. But you can spice it up using mangoes. This colourful salad is health and goodness filled in a bowl. You have to try this and see if you change your opinion of broccoli. 

    Time Taken: 25 minutes

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients: 

    • ½ cup ranch dressing
    • 2 tsp orange juice
    • 4 cups chopped broccoli
    • 1 large peeled and cubed mango
    • ½ cup cashews
    • Small chopped red onion
    • 1 small orange, drained

    How To Do It: Mix ranch, orange juice and a pinch of ginger. In a bowl mix the rest of the ingredients and set it in the fridge for a few hours. Add the orange slices before serving. 

    3. Spicy Mango Salad 

    This chatpata salad will add so much fun to your summer routine. You can whip out this mouth-watering dish with bare minimum ingredients 

    Time Taken: 45 minutes

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients:  

    • 4 mangoes peeled and cubed
    • ¼ cup lime juice
    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp red pepper flakes and black pepper
    • 2 tsp chopped dhaniya (coriander leaves)
    • 2 small onions chopped

    How To Do It: In a bowl mix all ingredients together. Pour that over the cubed mangoes and let it sit in the fridge for an hour before serving.

    4. Pineapple And Mango Salad 

    Still eating your summer fruit raw from a bowl? Time to change that. This salad combines coconut, mangoes and pineapple in a way you would not be able to resist. Dekhte hi khane ka man karega. 

    Time Taken: 20 minutes

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups peeled and chopped mango
    • Freshly cut pineapple
    • Any type of berry
    • ¼ cup flaked coconut
    • Fresh pudina (mint)

    How To Do It: Just grab a large bowl and toss the ingredients together and give it a good mix before serving. You can add some lime juice on the top if you want.

    5. Black Beans Mango Salad 

    Think of black beans as your Mexican rajma, you love it, don’t you? Then you’re going to love this salad as well. Filled with protein and yumminess, it’s a salad you have to try this summer.

    Time Taken: 20 minutes

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients

    • 500 grams cooked and rinsed black beans 
    • 1 tsp cumin and black pepper
    • 1 peeled and diced mango
    • Chopped dhaniya (coriander leaves)
    • Lime juice

    How To Do It: Cook the black beans with cumin for 2 mins. Add the rest of the ingredients and give it a good mix. You can either chill it in the fridge or serve it hot.

    6. Jicama Mango Salad 

    This juicy and crunchy salad makes a perfect dish on its own, but you can also serve it with other Asian or Mexican dishes. It can be doubled as taco filling as well. Isn’t that wonderful?

    Time Taken: 45 minutes

    Serves: 8

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 Shakalu (jicama) cut in matchsticks
    • Red Shimla mirch, chopped
    • 1 large mango, diced
    • ½ chopped onion
    • For dressing: Lime juice, dhanya, honey, salt and pepper

    How To Do It: Toss the veggies and fruits together in a bowl. In another vessel, mix the dressing and whisk it well. Add the dressing on top and serve it fresh or chilled. 

    7. Mexican Mango Salad

    You can add some jaan to your daily salad with the addition of some ingredients. This is perfect for your afternoon lunch. Serve it with or without a meal and you’re good to go. 

    Time Taken: 35 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients: 

    • 2 avocados, cut into cubes
    • 20 desi tamatar, cut in half
    • 1 mango, cubed
    • 2 cups mixed salad greens
    • 2 cups bite-size patta gobi (cabbage)
    • ½ red onion, chopped
    • 3 green onions, chopped
    • For dressing: Lime, olive oil, sugar, red pepper, cumin, salt and black pepper

    How To Do It: Toss the avocado, mango and all the veggies together. In another bowl, whisk together the dressing. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and serve it fresh. 

    8. Greek Mango Salad 

    A combination that might come off as a surprise, but sabar karo. Once you taste it, you’ll be making it every mango season to liven up your routine salads. 

    Time Taken: 30 minutes

    Serves: 12

    Ingredients:

    • 9 tomatoes, cut into cubes
    • 3 cucumbers, cut into cubes
    • 2 red, yellow and orange Shimla mirch (capsicum), cut into cubes
    • 3 mangoes, cut into bite-size pieces
    • 2 avocados, cut into bite-size pieces
    • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
    • ¼ cup Greek seasoning

    How To Do It: Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and serve with greek seasoning on the top. 

    9. Pista Mango Salad 

    You will lick the bowl clean with this oh-so-yummy salad with funky ingredients. 

    Time Taken: 40 minutes

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 patta gobi (cabbage), chopped
    • ½ cup vinaigrette salad dressing
    • ¾ cup crumbled blue cheese
    • 2 mangos, peeled and sliced
    • 2 grapefruit
    • 2 oranges
    • 2 avocados – peeled, pitted and diced
    • ½ cup pista, coarsely chopped

    How To Do It: Toss all the fine ingredients in a bowl and give it a mix after adding the salad dressing. Top it off with pista and serve fresh.

    10. Lazy Mango Salad 

    For the alsi public who do not want to spend hours in the kitchen, you can make this easy mango salad in minutes. 

    Time Taken: 15 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients: 

    • 2 green mangoes – peeled and cut into matchsticks
    • ¼ thinly sliced onion
    • ¼ red Shimla mirch (capsicum), thinly sliced
    • Chopped dhaniya (coriander)
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon crushed mungfali

    How To Do It: Mix the sauce, lime juice and sugar to make the dressing. In another bowl mix the other ingredients. Give it a mix after adding the dressing and serve chilled.
