    10 Delicious Mocktail Recipes You Can Stir Up At Home For The Party Season

Lucky for us, both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day have made for long weekends, which means you can meet up with friends and family, or go out of town for a getaway—all while observing Covid-safety protocols, of course!

    So raise your glasses, for 2020 is finally coming to an end! It’s been quite a year and we’re all ready to usher into 2021 with optimism, joy, and some fun drinks in hand. These delicious mocktail recipes are buzzing with flavour and have all of the fun and none of the hangover.

    Shake them, stir them, and sip on them at your end-of-year get-togethers. 

    10 Unique Mocktails That Are Perfect For Your Night

    Adding a little spice to your drinks, here are some lip-smacking mocktail recipes for you to try. 

    1. Orange Lime Relaxer or Orange Lemon Mocktail

    Orange Lime Relaxer or Orange Lemon Mocktail is an all-time favourite Mocktail. It’s simple and quick. All the ingredients are easy to access and it gives you a calm relaxing feel.

    Serves: 1

    Ingredients:

    • 20ml lime juice 
    • 200ml orange juice 
    • 200ml lemonade 
    • 2 lime wedges
    • Ice cubes

    Method:

    1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl or a shaker and mix them well.
    2. Cut up some lime wedges and place them in your serving glass. 
    3. Pour the mixed mocktail. 
    4. Add a few sprigs of mint if you prefer and enjoy your Orange Lime Relaxer.

    2. Kiwi & Mint Mojito Mocktail

    Kiwi & Mint Mocktail or Mojito Mocktail – a beautiful green drink for the Christmas spirit and lovers of all things green! Kiwi and Mint Mojito Mocktail is the perfect combination for a fresh drink. Here’s how to try your hands at the the Kiwi & Mint Mocktail.

    Serves:

    Ingredients:

    • 1 kiwi 
    • Pudina
    • 1/2 cup lemon juice
    • 3 tbsp sugar syrup ice cubes
    • Water
    • Lemon pieces (cut into cubes)

    Method:  

    1. Add Kiwi into the grinder with mint leaves, lemon juice, sugar syrup. 
    2. Blend it together and then add ice cubes, water & lemon pieces (cut into cubes) then grind it again 
    3. Your Kiwi & Mint Mojito is ready.

    3. Orange Sunrise or Orange Mocktail

    Love watching the Sunrise? Capture it in a glass! Enjoy Orange Sunrise or Orange Mocktail, a delicious blast of citrus and sweet resembling the perfect colours of sunrise.

    Serves:

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 cup fresh orange juice
    • Table salt
    • Rock salt
    • Black salt
    • Ice cubes
    • 2 tbsp rose syrup
    • Pudina

    Method: 

    1.  Add fresh orange juice into the grinder with table salt, rock salt & black salt. 
    2.  Blend it together then add ice cubes then again blend it together now 
    3. Add rose syrup & mint leaves in the glass and pour in your drink. 

    4. Shirley Temple 

    A drink that brings in the Hollywood glam, named after the famous actress Shirley Temple from the 1930s. 

    Serves:

    Ingredients:

    • 50ml red grenadine 
    • 300ml ginger ale 
    • Cherries
    • Ice cubes

    Method:

    1. Add the Red Grenadine, Ginger Ale and Ice Cubes in a shaker and mix well. 
    2. Place a few cherries in your preferred glass and pour the mixed drink on top. 
    3. Serve chilled!

    5. Blue Curacao Lemonade

    Blue Curacao Lemonade or Blue Lagoon Mocktail is made of the syrup of the laraha citrus fruit, grown on the island of Curaçao in the Caribbean. A delicious Blue Curacao Lemonade or Blue Lagoon Mocktail gives you the feeling that you’re on a tropical island.

    Serves:

    Ingredients:

    • 6 tbsps blue curacao syrup
    • 4 lemons
    • 6 tbsp sugar syrup
    • Ice cubes, as required
    • Drinking soda, as required

    Method:

    1.  Halve lemons, remove seeds and cut into small pieces. Divide them equally into 4 glasses.
    2.  Put 1½ tbsps sugar syrup in each glass and crush the lemon pieces with a muddler.
    3. Add ice cubes. Add 1½ tbsps blue curacao in each glass. Fill them up with drinking soda, stir and serve instantly with a stirrer and straw.

    6. Virgin Pina Colada Mocktail or Pineapple Mocktail

    A creamy, coconut drink, the Pina Colada Mocktail or Pineapple Mocktail is a drink for everyone who enjoys the creamy coconut-y tastes with hints of vanilla.

    Serves: 1

    Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
    • 1 cup of coconut milk
    • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
    • 1 cup of ice cubes
    • 2-3 scoops vanilla ice cream
    • A pineapple piece and cherry to garnish
    • Some coloured sprinkles for glass (optional)

    Method:

    1. In a blender, add the pineapple chunks and a little coconut milk. Blend till smooth 
    2.  Add the other ingredients, little by little ensuring there are no lumps. 
    3. Serve in a sprinkle decorated glass and garnish with cherries and pineapples. 

    7. Spicy Guava Mocktail 

    Guavas and spices! And a kick of citrus! That’s what Spicy Guava Mocktail brings to you in a glass!

    Serves: 1

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Guava juice 
    • Pudina
    • Lemon
    • Black pepper
    • Rocksalt
    • Red chilly powder

    Method: 

    1. In the guava juice, add the spices as per your tastes. Blend well. 
    2. Pour in a tall glass filled with ice cubes. 
    3. For an extra kick, cover the rim with chilly powder and salt. 

    8. Sunset Mocktail or Orange-Watermelon Mocktail

    You’ve had the Sunrise, so now try the Sunset. Sunset Mocktail or this Orange-Watermelon Mocktail is a delightful mix of citrus fruits and watermelon, sweet and tangy!

    Serves: 1

    Ingredients:

    • Chopped pudina
    • Lemon juice
    • Orange juice
    • Seven-up
    • Watermelon juice
    • Ice cubes

    Method:

    1. In a preferred glass add lemon juice, lemon slices, and ice cubes. 
    2.  Add chopped mint and mix well. 
    3. Pour in the orange juice slowly and let it settle. After the orange juice, slowly pour in the watermelon juice. Do not stir!
    4. You will notice a beautiful yellow-orange-red ombre effect which will resemble the sunset!

    9. Get Me Some Rose 

    While most mocktails consist of something fruity, Get Me Some Rose is a calming sweet drink with a relaxing taste of roses.

    Serves:

    Ingredients:

    • 15-20 basil leaves
    • 2 tbsps rose syrup 
    • 2 tbsps sugar syrup
    • 2 tbsps lemon juice 
    • Ice cubes 
    • Drinking soda, as required 

    Method:

    1. Add the basil leaves, rose syrup, sugar syrup and lemon juice in a shaker or blender and mix well. 
    2. In a tall glass, add ice cubes and pour the mixed drink till half. Top the drink with soda, filling it till the brim. 
    3. Enjoy chilled!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup grapes 
    • 1/2 tsp jeera powder (roasted)
    • Chaat masala 
    • Black salt
    • Rock salt
    • 2 tbsp sugar syrup
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • Ice cubes
    • Jeera powder 
    • Pudina

    Method:

    1. Add black grapes into the grinder with jeera powder (roasted), chaat masala, black salt, rock salt, sugar syrup, lemon juice & Ice cubes.  
    2. Next, blend it together till it is a nice and smooth mixture. 
    3. Serve in your preferred glass. 

    There is a range from fruity to spicy drinks that do not require alcohol. Pick your favourite!
