You Will Need:

  • 45 grams of grated beetroot
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable glycerine


  1. Heat the glycerine on a low flame.
  2. Add the grated beetroot and keep stirring.
  3. Strain the contents into a sterilised air-tight container.
  4. Remember to shake the bottle well before applying it to your cheeks and lips.

2. Lemon Lip Tint

  • Vaseline 
  • Lemon juice


  1. Take Vaseline in a clean dry bowl and let it melt completely.

  • 1 teaspoon beeswax pellets
  • 1 tablespoon shea butter
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon pomegranate juice
  • 1 drop of organic pink food colour
  • 1 drop of rose essential oil
  • Lipstick tube


  1. Heat the beeswax pellets, coconut oil and shea butter in a double boiler.
  2. Use a spoon to mix everything while it melts.
  3. Remove it from the flame and add the essential oil, strained pomegranate juice and food colour to it.
  4. Decant the mixture in the lipstick tube.
  5. Put it in the freezer to solidify.
  6. Nicely outline your lips and apply this rosy-pink colour for that natural pink shade.

8. Cocoa Butter Lip Tint

For those of you, who crave a matte nude finish for the office party or daily wear, this warm brown shade is sure to please you. The cocoa butter keeps your lippies nourished and moisturised, the presence of bentonite clay gives a matte effect and cinnamon oil helps impart a spicy fragrance. 

You Will Need:

  • 1 teaspoon beeswax pellets
  • ½ teaspoon bentonite clay
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa butter
  • 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil
  • ¼ teaspoon organic cocoa powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon of coffee powder
  • 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil
  • Lipstick tube


  1. Gradually melt the cocoa butter and beeswax pellets in a double boiler.
  2. Remove it from the flame and add the essential oil, and cocoa and coffee powder to it.
  3. Blend everything to get a smooth liquid mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into the lipstick tube.
  5. Keep it in the freezer for 2-3 hours to solidify.
  6. Glide the lipstick on your lips before strutting out.

9. Food Colouring Tint

  4. Now transfer it to the small container and freeze for 2 hours. 
  5. The tint will easily sustain for 3-4 months if stored in the fridge.

10. Turn Your Broken Lipstick Into Tinted Lip Balm

  • Coconut oil
  • Vaseline
  • Lipstick
  • Toothpick
  • Empty lip balm case


  1. Take ½ a tablespoon of Vaseline Pure Skin Jelly Original and coconut oil each in a small bowl and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. 
  2. Take it out and mix. 
  3. Scrape out the leftover lipstick from the case and put it in the Vaseline mixture. 
  4. Mix the lipstick with the oil and Vaseline with a toothpick so that the mixture is nicely pigmented. 
  5. Transfer this into an empty lip balm case or a chapstick. Close it and let it sit for a day.
