  • 1 tablespoon malai
  • 1 teaspoon honey


  1. Mix the malai and the honey well. The mixture might be a little viscous but that’s what we need!
  2. Massage the mixture onto your face and keep it for 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse your face well with warm water.

3. Turmeric And Malai Face Pack

  • 1 tablespoon malai
  • A few strands of kesar (saffron)


  1. Soak the kesar in the malai for an hour.
  2. Clean your face and then apply the mixture all over your face and neck.
  3. Keep it on for 15 minutes.
  4. Wash it off.

6. Lemon, Orange And Malai Face Pack

  • 1 tablespoon malai
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice


  1. Mix the malai, orange juice and lemon juice well.
  2. Apply it liberally to your face. Be careful about getting it into your eyes, so try to avoid that area as much as you can.
  3. Leave it on for 30 minutes.
  4. Wash it off and pat your face dry.

Making Malai At Home

  1. First, make sure you have the right kind of milk. Fresh cow’s milk is recommended, but even buffalo milk will work.
  2. Put the milk in the sauce pan and bring it to a boil.
  3. Once your milk is boiled, take it off the heat and cover it with a lid.
  4. Once the milk has cooled, place it in the fridge overnight. The malai will form on top of the milk like a hardened layer.
  5. In the morning, take your pan of milk and slowly remove the malai from the milk. It’ll be a thick layer with a slightly yellow colour.
  6. Place the malai in a clean container with a lid and put it in the fridge.
  7. Repeat the process to get a container full of malai.
