Success, tied with skills and hard work, is what makes those featured in our list today an inspiration for many. And the journey, for these women of incredible talent, are stories that must be told.

This week, here are some brands we’re cheering on; check them out!

Custom Home Decor by NameSake Crafted With Love

Founded in 2018 by new-age artist Neelu Gupta, NameSake-Crafted With Love is a growing business venture of handcrafted home decor accents. Born and brought up in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, she is a nature-lover who relished the city dotted with temples, ensconced in the lap of nature and basked in folk art and artisans. It is no surprise that tradition, nature, culture and fusion are central to her work.

Tasteful concepts and skilled implementation are the keys to her brand, where every single piece is designed and crafted by Neelu, from inception to completion. The brand offers products, which are both timeless and functional.

The idea of making custom art for people came from her very own experiences while talking to customers on their requirement of 3D murals. Everyone loves and appreciates the art but not many of us can afford the cost so the founder of this brand launched her creatively designed Mural Wall Art which is a miniature form of mural art that is more budget-friendly.

The product range starts from Rs 999 onwards and they are available on the brand’s Instagram and Facebook pages, and Amazon.

Apparel by By Sonali Thakur

The namesake brand By Sonali Thakur is the brainchild of a first-generation woman entrepreneur. She has a formal degree in Fashion Design and Technology and her travels have given her a deeper understanding of the global fashion landscape.

When motherhood came knocking, she realised how challenging it was to find clothes that tick all the checkboxes for a mother – form, fit, flattering silhouettes.

Initially, she just designed clothes for her daughter and herself. When their appearances started getting noticed and friends and acquaintances started queuing up with requests, she realised the potential of this gap in the market and created a brand to cater to the needs of a Mother and Daughter duo. The clothes from By Sonali Thakur are a representation of one’s personality and a reminder of how beautiful a mother and a child’s relationship is.

During the pandemic, this brand made beautiful funky masks for kids that were highly appreciated. The masks were themed based and were available in different bright colours. The clothes are mostly targeted at the parents and children who are on the lookout for something fresh and unique. Apart from matching outfits, the brand makes tutu dresses, themed costumes and customised pieces. You can place your orders via WhatsApp or Instagram.

Homemade Pickles by Maloo’s Gourmet Pickles

Founded by Ramya Krishnan, Maloo’s Gourmet Pickles offer a premium range of homemade pickles with no added preservatives. Ramya holds a Masters degree in Travel and Tourism from Tamil Nadu University. She has always wanted to start something of her own and be independent. As suggested by her family members, she decided to start something related to the food industry because good food is always in demand. One fine day, her dad came up with the idea of making homemade pickles and she readily agreed with that. The pickle got its name from her nickname (Maloo) and since it has premium ingredients, she added the word gourmet to it. The brand was started a couple of months ago with an aim to provide quality products to the people.

While the products are completely free from artificial preservatives and entirely hand made, what makes the brand unique apart from the attention to quality is that a percentage of the profits go towards the National Ataxia Foundation. It helps raise awareness and potential research towards finding a cure for this neurodegenerative condition. The reason Ramya chose Ataxia as a cause is due to the fact that she has a condition called Cerebral Ataxia since birth. Although her motor and coordination skills are compromised, her thinking and mental grit are sharper than ever. This is her part in actively fighting this disease!

The brand is currently selling six variants – Mango, Lemon, Ginger-Tamarind, Garlic, Gooseberry, Beetroot and mixed vegetables. All the products are made in traditional Kerala style. The price of the products ranges from Rs 80 to Rs 100 which makes them more affordable to the people out there. You can order the products through their Facebook page or Instagram DM’s and get your order shipped anywhere in India. Here are some quick tips on how to start a tailoring business from home and earn.
