How To Start 7 Chakras Meditation?

There is no set rule for practising chakra meditation. Each person will have to try and experiment with what works for them. You don’t even need to close your eyes, you can listen to music, sit cross-legged or lie down. It’s all about trusting your gut and letting it take its course. Chakra meditation benefits are countless and easy to achieve if you know what you’re doing.

Step 1

Closing your eyes is not a necessity but do it once to ground your body and mind. Sit in a relaxed position.

Step 2

Start with root chakra meditation. Visualise your chakra in its associated colour (red). You can imagine it as a symbol too.

Step 3

Now take your imagination a step further and think of your chakra as a moving spinning wheel of energy. Concentrate on its movement, and feel it moving within. Take a deep breath and give up control of it, think of it expanding as you breathe in air.

Step 4

Imagine this wheel moving in a clockwise direction. As you breathe in, feel its brightness in your mind. The brighter it becomes the better it is. Feel its warmth and coolness as it cleanses.

Step 5

Trust your gut to tell you when it’s working. Keep your focus on this chakra until you feel it expand all over your body.

Step 6

After this, move to a chakra up and repeat the process. Work your way up and do not rush things. Each chakra is different and thus will require a different amount of attention.

Step 7

When you’ve reached the crown chakra, get in the backseat and observe your body in your mind. See all the chakras bright, alive and thriving with energy. Here you’ve found your flow.

The most important thing is to let your body and mind take their own time and trust the process. Once you’ve mastered you can tune your focus to particular meditation techniques such as chakra healing meditation and individual chakra meditation.
