They’re a healthy option, made from fruit, and fun too! They don’t have any added refined sugars or preservatives. There is no guilt in eating them at any time of the day!

To all the mothers out there, you can be sure they’re a lot healthier than most kids’ treats and are a healthy snack to enjoy after a day of fun in the sun!

Here’s a list of the best homemade popsicles with recipes to satiate your sweet tooth and keep you refreshed and cool the entire season! Before we look at some recipes here are some key steps to follow.

Steps To Prepare Homemade Popsicles

Step 1: Blend The Ingredients Well

When blending anything, it’s important to begin by adding the liquid ingredients. So in these popsicle recipes, start by adding yoghurt or fruit juice.

Step 2: Pour The Mixture Into The Mould

Once the mixture is homogeneous (uniform throughout), evenly distribute it in the wells of a popsicle mould.

If you don’t have a popsicle mould you can make your own mould using different materials you might already have at home – paper cups, popsicle sticks, and tin foil! Here’s how

  1. Place cups on a baking pan and pour the popsicle mixture into the cups.
  2. Place tin foil over each cup and use a sharp knife to cut a small slit in the middle of the tinfoil on top and slide a popsicle stick into each slit.

Step 3: Freeze!

Place the lids once the moulds are filled and stick on top and freeze for 8 hours, or overnight. The best thing to do would be to freeze them overnight the day before you would like to enjoy them so you don’t have to wait for them!

Step 4: Release From Moulds

To release the popsicles from the moulds dip them in a vessel filled with warm water for 30-60 seconds and pull them out. Then you can freeze them again or enjoy them right away. It’s really easy to do!

Let’s begin with some homemade fruit popsicles and ice cream popsicle recipes with the simple ingredients!
