Ingredients:

  • ½ kg chicken (boneless) 
  • 1 tablespoon of cornflour 
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder 
  • ½ teaspoon of finely ground black pepper 
  • 3 teaspoons of honey 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt 
  • 2 tablespoons of any oil (without scent) 
  • 2 teaspoon of chilli flakes (fried or roasted)
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic & ginger paste

Steps:

  1. Start with process of marination. For this, take a bowl and mix all ingredients well. Marinate the washed and cleaned chicken with this mix. Let it rest for half an hour. 
  2. Sprinkle cornflour on the chicken.
  3. Fry the chicken in a deep pan. 
  4. Remove excess oil and garnish with fresh leaves of coriander. Your sumptuous crunchy honey chicken is ready to serve.

Time required: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 300 gms of fresh potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt 
  • 2 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 2 small garlic cloves (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 red chilli (chopped) 
  • 2 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 cup of cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli sprinkles for garnishing

Steps:

  1. Boil six cups of water in a deep vessel. Wash and peel off the potatoes. Put the potatoes in the boiling water. Let the potatoes boil until they become a little soft but not completely soft. 
  2. Take a deep bowl and add red chillies, cornflour, garlic and salt in it. Mix all ingredients well and let them rest for 2-3 minutes. 
  3. Bring out the potatoes from the boiling water and drain off excess water.
  4. Add the boiled potatoes to the bowl of mixed ingredients and toss gently so that the potatoes get a good covering of the mixed ingredients.
  5. Take a frying pan and heat some oil in it. Remember, the flame should be medium mode. Start frying the potatoes till they turn golden and crunchy. 
  6. Take out the potatoes on a kitchen paper roll once they are properly fried. 
  7. Take one teaspoon oil in a pan and sauté the chilli flakes and sesame seeds.   
  8. Plate the potatoes on a nice platter and drop the honey gently over them. 
  9. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and chilli flakes.
  10. Serve Honey Chilli Potato fresh and hot. Serving them late will bring in sogginess. 

5. Honey Cake

Ingredients for cake:

  • ½ cup of milk 
  • 200 gm of curd
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup of sugar powder
  • ½ cup of oil 
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence 

Ingredients for honey syrup:

  • ¼ cup of water
  •  ¼ cup of honey 
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar

Ingredients for the jam mix:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • ½ cup of strawberry jam

Steps:

  1. Mix all ingredients of cake into a bowl and bake the cake at 180 degree Celsius for 25 minutes. Check the cake using a  toothpick and de-mould it.
  2. Prepare the honey syrup by boiling sugar and water for three minutes. Turn off the flame and add honey in it. 
  3. Pour the syrup on the cake gently. Let the cake rest for a few minutes. 
  4. Prepare the jam-mix by mixing the jam and honey in a vessel. Coat the cake with jam-mix and your sumptuous honey cake is ready!

6. Mango-Honey-Oatmeal Smoothie
