  • Dahi: Use the malai from the upper layer as it is more moisturizing for your skin
  • Honey: It is perfect for your acne-prone and oily skin, thanks to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties
  • Banana: They are high in potassium, which helps encourage blood and oxygen flow to your skin cells.

Mix these ingredients well in a bowl and apply them to your face with the help of your fingers. Let the face mask sit for 5 to 10 mins and then wash it off.

Oranges have multiple benefits for your skin. If you eat the fruit and throw away the peel, think twice. Some reports suggest that the orange peel is the healthiest part of the whole fruit. While the fruit has 71 milligrams of vitamin C, the peel has a whopping 136mg! Packed with antioxidants, orange peels also help unclog your pores and prevent acne. Janhvi uses orange peels to remove dead skin and treat tan lines. You can also oranges to your other fruit masks. The high dose of vitamin C helps treat pigmentation, brightens the skin, and also reduces signs of ageing.

Janhvi loves using fruits on her skin. The actor shares that this is a skincare tip her mother, late Sridevi passed on to her and she swears by it. “Mom would take whatever fruits were leftover from breakfast and apply them as a mask, so I’ve been trying to do the same thing”.

Papayas, oranges, strawberries, bananas, avocados, tomatoes are all great fruits for your skin and can be applied directly to your face. Rich in antioxidants, fruit masks will leave you with hydrated, brighter, younger-looking skin.

4. Janhvi Kapoor’s Morning Beauty Ritual

There’s nothing more refreshing than a good morning beauty ritual. Each morning after waking up and cleaning her face with cold water, Janhvi puts on a face mask using dahi (or malai) and honey mixed together. Both of these ingredients help in evening the skin tone and give your skin a healthy glow. She sometimes uses hot water to steam her face for a few minutes to open up her pores before using the face mask.

5. Janhvi Kapoor’s Scents Of Confidence

She loves floral, fun scents and mogra especially reminds her of her house back in Chennai (smells are deeply associated with your memory). “I like the scent of mogra flower because mom used to put it around the house, but I also love vanilla. As a kid, I was obsessed with picking up anything that smelled like vanilla,” says the actor.

6. Janhvi Kapoor Loves A Good Ol’ Champi

Janhvi likes to get her hair massaged every three days with homemade oils. She uses oils made from dried flowers and amla at home. Oiling our hair with coconut oil has been part of our desi households. Remember the champi sessions our mothers used to give us? The oil champi works wonders for your scalp, strengthening your roots and making you feel relaxed. It also promotes hair growth and prevents dandruff. Besides using it on her hair, Janhvi also loves using almond oil under her eyes. This helps reduce dark circles and puffiness. It is also an excellent moisturiser for both your skin and your hair.

7. Janhvi’s Must-Have Skincare Products

Taking a break from makeup products that are used on her skin while shooting, she likes to simply have on her a good sunscreen and lip balm. She refrains from using heavy products on a daily basis and likes to keep it minimal.  The sunscreen will protect you from harmful UV rays and prevent sunburn while having a lip balm conceals chapped lips and also keeps them hydrated.
